Guaranteed and uninterrupted power supply
For continuous flow of data and operation of the system, two independent power lines supply electricity to data center.
Server rooms are equipped with direct current power systems on batteries, which allows the equipment to operate in the autonomous mode for up to 1 hour. While diesel generators start up, the power is provided by 2N Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) APC MGE Galaxy 7000. The data center Moscow can operate systems on batteries for 15 minutes, which is more than enough to power on diesel generators.
Diesel generators allow to continue to work even if the city's power supply is interrupted. Diesel generators 19 FG Wilson in the data center Moscow are redundant and operate in accordance with the continuity scheme N+1. Their engines are kept warm in order to switch to operating mode and synchronize for 30 seconds. One generator's fuel reserve is calculated for 6 hours. Data center Moscow is able to work independently even with a long disconnection from the city network.

Cooling in the data center is maintained according to the "cold" and "hot corridor" method, which maintains a stable microclimate. Humidity is maintained at a level of 30-70%, temperature is 23-27 °C. Each server room in the data center Moscow is provided with continuous monitoring of temperature and humidity measuring devices, both in the hall and at the level of individual customers' shelves.
Cooling is performed according to the freon direct expansion scheme (N+1 system redundancy scheme). There are two-layer conditioners Schneider Electric, Hiref and Stulz in server rooms and there are capacitor blocks and coolers on the data center’s roof.
Automatic fire safety system
The data center has two types of gas fire extinguishing systems: central and local in the server rooms. The fire system's redundancy is 2N. The entire data center building is equipped with automatic fire alarm systems, anti-smoke ventilation system, early warning system and fire alarm. The data center Moscow is equipped with an evacuation management system and an automatic gas fire extinguisher system as well. Server rooms are also equipped with airtight areas that protect against fire spreading up to 45 minutes.
Video surveillance and security 24/7
The IP video surveillance system is equipped with motion detectors and digital video recording capabilities. The CCTV system strictly controls the external and internal infrastructure of the entire data center and stores video records for 3 months. Entrance is organized with document verification and identification. Unauthorized access is not possible!
Access to the data center Moscow rooms includes an automated access control and management system. The system is applicable to all rooms with critical equipment, corridors with fitted equipment, office rooms and building entrances. If necessary, server cabinets may be equipped with additional fences, cameras and access control systems.
Superfast Riga-Moscow channel
Direct channel reaches 10 Gbit/s with the superfast responsive connection of 13 ms (average latency, milliseconds). The channel is built using DWDM technology (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) and it is the fastest connection of available channel options. The channel reveals many opportunities for mission-critical business processes, remote access applications, backup data centers and for risks diversification.
Independent from communication operators, the data center is connected with several 10 Gbit/s internet channels that unite DEAC communication nodes located in Europe, Russia, Asia, USA and other parts of the world. The wide data centers’ infrastructure provides customers with high availability, a guaranteed speed and the smallest possible access delay.
