European data center operator DEAC and backbone provider RETN have set up a dedicated route between DEAC optical city ring and RETN’s pan European network. New links allows to reduce the time of delivering VPN services to more than 100 points-of-presence of RETN network. Now it’s possible to deliver data traffic between largest data centres in Europe, North America and South-East Asia, including Russia, Ukraine, Baltic States and other East European countries. The link was set up in Riga, at LVRTC platform communication node, current available bandwidth is 10 Gbps.

On 20th September, within the framework of Zabbix international conference 2012 (infrastructure monitoring solution), IT specialists from many countries, including Brasil and USA, have visited DEAC data center “Riga”. The delegation was interested in most modern Baltics data center potential, as well as have observed the operation of Zabbix in DEAC data center.
Taking in account the increasing number of business deals and Russian customers interest towards DEAC services, it was decided to expand the staff in DEAC Moscow representation office, where a team of experienced IT professionals and consultants will be working from now on. The representation office will be headed by Olegs Naskidajevs, that previously held the director of DEAC marketing and business development department position.
On 30th and 31st May European data center operator DEAC participated in annual international conference „Data centers World”. The number of participants was around 800. During the conference DEAC spoke with 2 reports on cloud computing, shared the plans of opening new data centers in Europe and answered many conference visitors’ questions at DEACs’ stand. One of the main DEAC topics was data storage and customers’ infrastructure colocation in European Union data centers, that does not contradict the Russian Federal Law 152 on personal data.
"The diversification of risks for large and medium Russian business becomes more complete with setting up the correct documents flow along with deep analysis of tax risks and usage of reliable European data centers" - those two important issues were pointed out by many participants of the outbound round table of Russian financial directors on 18th-20th May 2012, where DEAC actively participated in the event as a sponsor. Besides the analysis of different kinds of tax security, event participants in Chalkidiki have drawn business development parallels between full data colocation in Russia and partial in Europe and have concluded, that cooperation with DEAC gives business reliability a new quality level.
At the largest and most influential international trade show CeBIT 2012, European data center operator DEAC have presented the infrastructure of its data centers and shared the reasons, why customers from America and Eurasia choose DEAC IT services. In Hannover DEAC have established new contacts with partners and potential customers and have strengthened the international expert status.
